Manchester United on the Verge of Sacking Erik ten Hag This Weekend

Manchester United find themselves languishing in 14th place in the Premier League during the October international break, and the calls for Erik ten Hag’s dismissal are growing louder from fans at Old Trafford.

Many were surprised when INEOS decided to stand by Ten Hag rather than starting fresh with a new manager. Thomas Tuchel, a dream candidate for many, was available after his fallout at Bayern Munich.

However, with Tuchel now taking over the England national team, the timing seemed to offer Ten Hag a lifeline. Despite the club’s disappointing start to the season and multiple emergency meetings evaluating his future, Ten Hag remains at the helm.

But according to the Daily Mail, that could change this weekend. Manchester United are reportedly ready to sack Ten Hag if the team suffers another poor result against Brentford, a formidable side in the Premier League.

To make matters worse, Ten Hag faces a defensive crisis. With Noussair Mazraoui out due to a heart procedure, Diogo Dalot is the only available right-back, forcing veteran center-back Jonny Evans to deputize at left-back. This makes United vulnerable, particularly with Brentford’s in-form winger Bryan Mbeumo, who has been one of the best in the league this season, netting six goals in seven matches.

All eyes will be on Old Trafford this Saturday. For Ten Hag, the stakes couldn’t be higher—if Manchester United falter against Brentford, it could spell the end of his tenure at the club.
